EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football staff has been finalized for the 2023 season with the addition of five new faces to UW-Eau Claire.
2023 Blugold Football Coaching Staff
Harrison Tsimouris
Harrison Tsimouris enters his first year at UW-Eau Claire as the Blugolds' Running Backs coach in 2023.
Tsimouris joins the Blugold football staff after coaching for three years at Southwest Minnesota State University as a Running Backs and Tight Ends graduate assistant. During his time with the Mustangs, Harrison helped the SMSU offense rank 4th in the NSIC in rushing yards and improved team rushing totals in 2021 and 2022. He also coached the NSIC's leading rusher, Jessie Sherwood, who was named All-Conference and a Harlon Hill finalist.

Kyle Nystrom
Kyle Nystrom enters his first year at UW-Eau Claire as the Blugolds' Linebackers coach in 2023.
Prior to joining the Blugold football staff, Nystrom was at the helm of NCAA Division II Northern Michigan for six seasons. Nystrom's last two seasons with the Wildcats were his most successful.
Under Nystrom, 30 players earned all-GLIAC recognition 38 times. Jake Mayon (NMU) was twice named the GLIAC Offensive Back of the Year (2017 and 2018) and a 2018 Don Hansen All-Super Region 3 First Team pick.

Josh Wilson
Josh Wilson enters his first year at UW-Eau Claire as the Blugolds' Defensive Backs coach in 2023.
Wilson joins the Blugolds staff after coaching at The University of St. Thomas (MN) this past year. As the Tommies' defensive quality control coach, Wilson helped the 2022 team to a 10-1 record, a Pioneer League Championship, and top-20 rankings in the AFCA and CFB Network polls. The Tommie defense led the Pioneer League in more than ten statistical categories. On a national scale, St. Thomas ranked in the top-5 of all FCS teams in fewest points allowed and rushing yards. They also were in the top-10 for sacks, tackles for a loss, blocked kicks, and fewest yards allowed.

Deavon Puck
Deavon Puck enters his first year at UW-Eau Claire as the Blugolds' Wide Receivers coach in 2023.
Puck joins the Blugold football staff after coaching at Union College for two seasons. As the Dutchmen's Wide Receivers coach, Deavon helped Union's offense rank 1st in the Liberty League in passing yards per game and offensive efficiency in 2022. In 2021, the Dutchmen ranked first in their conference in scoring, red zone efficiency, and conversions on 3rd and 4th down.
Ricky Lang
Ricky Lang enters his first year at UW-Eau Claire as the Blugolds' Defensive Line coach in 2023.
Lang joins the Blugold football staff after coaching at Servite High School in Anaheim, California this past year as the Friars' Defensive Coordinator. Ricky is no stranger to the Division III football scene as he served as the Defensive Line coach for Claremont McKenna College in 2021. Lang helped the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to a second place finish and the #1 ranked defense in the SCIAC during his time out West.
