Belot named to AFCA All-America Second Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The AFCA Division III Coaches' All-America Teams were announced today by the American Football Coaches Association, with UW-Eau Claire football's Austin Belot (Sr. – Neenah, WI) earning Second Team honors.

Belot is the first Blugold football All-American since Sam Romanski in 2018 and the 38th overall.

The Neenah native led the WIAC for total rushing yards (1,405) for the second time in his career and also led the WIAC averaging 140.5 yards per game this season, ranking him fifth in the nation in both categories.

The senior broke the school record for most yards in a game (364) and finished third in program history in season rushing yards. Belot also recorded the fourth longest rush from scrimmage in program history (84 yards) and finished tenth in career rushing yards (2,586). Belot was also named to the WIAC Second Team and was a D3football.com All-Region Third Team.
