The Blugolds celebrated Senior Day and Hometown Heroes Day at Carson Park as UW-Platteville was in town. After gaining an early lead, the Blugolds suffered a 55-28 defeat at home.

    OSHKOSH, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team looked to bounce back on Saturday on the road after falling at home to UW-River Falls a week prior. UW-Eau Claire took on Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) opponent UW-Oshkosh. After a slow start in the first quarter,  the Blugolds battled back but could not get in reach of the deficit in the 54-31 loss.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team was back at home on Saturday for 23rd matchup of the War on 94 series. After a high scoring first half, the Blugolds fell just short after a last-minute touchdown by UW-Stout gave UWEC their second loss on the season in a 34-38 defeat.

    STEVENS POINT, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team began Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play on Saturday as they were on the road to face UW-Stevens Point. Rookie quarterback Harry Roubidoux (So. – Winnecone, WI) took over in the first half and lit a fire for the UW-Eau Claire Blugold offense. Roubidoux’s career high 104 passing yards, 22 rushing yards, and two passing touchdowns and four forced turnovers by the Blugold defense earned UWEC the 25-15 WIAC win.
  • Blugolds Fall Short in Matchup with Albion

    ALBION, Mich. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team was back in action Saturday after having the last week off for a bye. The UW-Eau Claire Blugolds traveled to Albion College for their final nonconference game of the year. After a big second quarter and the halftime lead, the Blugolds fell on the road to the Albion Britons, 20-23.

  • Mayo Clinic Health System named sports medicine provider for UWEC Athletics

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Beginning with the 2021 fall sports season, the Mayo Clinic Health System has been named the new provider of sports medicine services for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletics. Clinical staff from the Mayo Clinic Health System Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department will provide services including sideline support, radiology, concussion management, procedures and surgical care, physical therapy and rehabilitation for Blugold athletes on all 25 men's and women's athletic teams.

The bowl game will highlight two Midwest football conferences at the competitive NCAA Division III level.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football schedule has officially been released for the 2021 season. The last time the team was on the field was 2019, when they went 3-7 overall and had a thrilling 21-19 victory over St. Thomas (Minn.) early in the season.
