Originally dedicated in 1969, McPhee featured an expansion in 1987 when the Ade Olson Addition was constructed. The original building, which was renovated in 2007, houses a 6-lane, 25-yard natatorium plus a main gymnasium with portable seating for 1,000 in which volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling matches are contested.
The Ade Olson addition features an elevated 6-lane, 200-meter track plus four indoor tennis courts and a modern sports medicine facility. The building also features raquetball courts.
Outside the McPhee building are eight tennis courts plus the Simpson Field which features a 9-lane, 400-meter all-weather track surrounding a turfed field that was added in 2020. Beyond the turfed field are two more football fields and field events areas that were also renovated in 2020.
