MADISON, Wis.-- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Megan Maruna (Jr. - Oswego, Ill./Oswego) has been named one of the two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Softball Athletes of the Week for the week of March 21 - 27.
Maruna (Jr., INF, Oswego, Ill./Oswego) powered the Blugold offense during the week in Florida, recording multi-hit games in six out of eight contests for an average of .519. She boasted a slugging percentage of .926, recording four doubles, two triples and a homerun in 27 at-bats and also scored 13 runs for the Blugolds. Maruna drove in four runs and stole four bases, while accounting for 63 putouts at first base.
