Blugolds 22nd in Learfield Directors' Cup Fall Standings

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Learfield Directors' Cup is back, with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 22nd place out of over 400 Division III schools after the fall season.

The Blugolds have 201 points after the fall season, capped by the volleyball team's first national championship, earning 100 points for the department. UW-Eau Claire also earned points in men's and women's cross country after the women finished 22nd (52 points) and the men were 25th (49 points) at the national meet. Johns Hopkins University currently leads Division III with 471 points.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
