MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Alexa Brooks (Sr. - Beaver Dam, WI), Morgan Nelson (So. - Beaver Dam, WI), and Jordan Witzel (Jr. - Woodbury, MN/East Ridge) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Brooks and Nelson held strong in doubles during the week for the Blugolds. They secured the No. 3 doubles won against Bierbaum/Peterson of Bethel University (Minn.) 8-4. On Oct. 9, they were victorious at No.3 doubles against conference opponents Graf/Riegle of UW-La Crosse 8-5. Brooks and Nelson went undefeated in all doubles matches during the week for the Blugolds.
Witzel paced the Blugolds' offense during the week, averaging 3.18 kills per set and attacking with a .296 efficiency. Her 13-kill, season-high .500 attack percentage performance against UW-Stevens Point helped the Blugolds pull a match ahead of the pack in the WIAC standings.
