PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire track and field team competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday, with six Blugolds winning events.

Darin Lau (Sr. – Eau Claire, WI/Immanuel Lutheran) won the 5K, turning in the top time in the nation, finishing in 14:21.81.
David Kornack (Sr. – Edgar, WI) won two events for the Blugolds, winning the shot put with a toss of 18.20 (59-8.5), which also ranks No. 1 in the nation. Kornack's toss of 48.74 (159-11) won the discus and ranked 15th.
In the 800m, Kyler Lueck (Jr. – Germantown, WI/Wisconsin Lutheran) took first with a time of 1.53.89, the 7th-best time in the country.
For the women, Bailey Waldhauser (So. – Loyal, WI) won the high jump with a mark of 1.63m (5-4.25) and has her ranked No. 17 in the country while Erica Oawster (Sr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) won the discus, winning the event by nine feet with a mark of 149-9 (45.65m).

Tommie Brenner (Sr. – Reedsburg, WI) – 100 hurdles (14.66) – 13th
Samantha Slattery (Sr. – Waunakee, WI) – 5K (17:30.11) – 22nd
Megan Wallace (So. – Burlington, WI) – long jump (5.53m, 18-1.75) – 21st
