ATLANTA (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire track and field teams kicked off the outdoor season at the Emory Invitational on Saturday.
Erica Oawster (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) lead the Blugolds as the junior won the shot put with a throw of 13.34m and the discus with a distance of 46.48m.
Josie Burns (Sr. – Saint Michael, MN/Saint Michael-Albertville) won the hammer throw (48.15m) while Marin Munos (Fr. – Oswego, IL/Aurora West) was second in the high jump (1.60m).
Megan Wallace (Fr. – Burlington, WI) was third in the long jump (5.14m).
For the men, Thomas Jensen (So. – Edina, MN) earned three points for the Blugolds after placing sixth in the shot put with a toss of 13.53m while Joe Black (So. – River Falls, WI) finished ninth in the discus with a distance of 38.64m.
