Swim & Dive falls to St. Cloud State

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire swimming and diving teams took on the St. Cloud State on Saturday, with the Blugolds falling 219-80 on the men's side and 223-77 on the women's.

Results 

On the women's side, Anna Theisen (Jr. - Glenbeulah, WI/Plymouth) won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:10.05 while Rachael Streit (So. – Lakeville, MN/South) was second (11:13.35).

Sam Senczyszyn (Sr. – Grafton, WI) won the 100 free (53.04) and was second in the 50 free with a time of 24.21.

Paige Pelikan (Fr. – New Berlin, WI/West) finished second with a time of 5:28.12 in the 500 free while the relay team of Emily Ries (So. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial), Jessica Wilson (So. – Brookfield, WI/Wauwatosa West), Emma Steffel (Fr. – Green Bay, WI/Ashwaubenon) and Senczyszyn took second with a time of 1:42.35 in the 200 free.

For the men, Collin Miller (Jr. – Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) won the 50 free (21.26) and 100 free (46.37) while Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Jr. – Fridley, MN) won the 1-meter  dive with a score of 302.40.

Jack Poppitz (Fr. – Apple Valley, MN/Eastview) was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.99) while the 200 free relay team of Caleb Odmark (Sr. – White Bear Lake, MN), Colin Koss (Fr. – Bryant, WI/Antigo), Dane Detert (So. – New Berlin, WI/West) and Miller were second with a time of 1:28.87.

The Blugolds will be back in action Nov. 30-Dec. 2 as they compete at the Rochester Invite.
