Despite several opportunities, Eau Claire couldn't get on the board until the 37th minute with a goal from Courtney Slowinski (Fr.-Byron, MN). The assist came from Lauren Talbot (So.-Anoka, MN).
The Blugolds would add to their lead before the end of the half with a goal in the 42nd from Maggie Conway (Fr.-Mount Horeb, WI). The goal was Conway's first of the 2019 season.
Eau Claire would keep the momentum going to begin the second, as Krista Koenig (So.-Ringle, WI/D.C. Everest) made it 3-0. The Blugolds would then proceed to pour it on, with two goals from Tessa Grywalsky (Jr.-Madison, WI/Middleton) and then one more again from Conway.
The Blugold defense was also dominant, not even allowing Stout to get a shot on goal. That allowed goalkeeper Anna Sveiven (Jr.-Blaine, MN/Centennial) to record her tenth shutout of the season.
The victory pushed Eau Claire to 14-5 overall and now 5-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). With the win, the Blugolds earn the third seed in the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) and will host UW-River Falls in the First Round on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
