NORTHFIELD, Minn. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire soccer team won their second straight match Wednesday afternoon, beating St. Olaf 4-0 on the road.

Box Score

The Blugolds were able to strike quickly, with Anna Larson (Jr.-Lakeville, MN/North) putting it past the opposing goalie within the first five minutes. Larson was assisted on the play by Anna Kautzman (Jr.-Champlin, MN), her first assist on the season.

Despite getting outshot the rest of the way, Eau Claire was still able to add three more goals. Emily Sullivan (Sr-Medina, MN/Wayzata) knocked in a penalty kick right after halftime, bumping her to three goals this fall. Courtney Slowinski (Fr.-Byron, MN) continued her hot streak by adding two more goals, one in the 65th minute and then one in the 68th. Slowinski now has four goals in her last four matches.

St. Olaf managed 13 shots on goal but couldn't get one past Eau Claire goalkeepers Anna Sveiven (Jr.-Blaine, MN/Centennial) and Grace Frank (Jr.-Eau Claire, WI/Memorial). Sveiven had 12 saves, and now has three shutouts in the past four matches.

The victory bumped the Blugolds to 6-3 on the season. They will continue their road trip next Tuesday, October 1st, against Luther College (IA). Even playing in hostile environments, Eau Claire has played well, as they are 3-0 away from Bollinger in 2019.
