EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com)- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team traveled to Northland College on Wednesday night, coming away with a dominant 6-0 victory.

Box Score

Eau Claire opened up the scoring in the 22nd minute off a strike from Courtney Slowinski (Fr.-Byron, MN) and an assist from Kayla Jedrzejewski (So.-New Berlin, WI/Eisenhower). It was Slowinski's first goal in her collegiate career.

Right after halftime, the Blugolds added to their goal total, as Cassidy Wolf (Fr.-Woodbury, MN/North St. Paul) knocked one in off an assist from Emily Sullivan (Sr.-Medina, MN/Wayzata). The Blugolds wouldn't stop there, adding four more goals in the second half. Jedrzejewski would score the next two, coming in the 60th and 63rd minute of the match. Megan Hansen (Fr.-Andover, MN/Anoka) had her second straight game with a goal, scoring late in the 78th minute. Rounding things out was Anna Kautzman (Jr.-Champlin, MN) right before the end, with an assist from Slowinski.

Eau Claire was great in net, not allowing a single goal in the victory. Anna Sveiven (Jr. – Blaine, MN/Centennial) led the way with two saves, both of them coming in the second half. It was her third shutout of the season, the other two coming against St. Catherine (MN) and St. Norbert.

The victory moved the Blugolds to 4-2 on the 2019 season. They will return to Bollinger Field this Saturday, to square off with Dubuque. The match will begin at 2 PM and will serve as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day.
