Jose Quintana enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Blugolds in 2017. Before coming to UW-Eau Claire, Quintana had assistant coaching experience at Lakeland University.

Quintana wrestled at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 2008-2012. For the Titans, Quintana was a four-year starter and four-time All-WIAC performer.

Wrestling at 149 lbs., he finished with 84 career wins, including a 22-8 record as a senior, finishing as runner-up in the WIAC.

Prior to his collegiate wrestling years, Quintana attended Burnsville High School in Burnsville, MN, where he was a multiple-time state placewinner.

Quintana graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with an undergraduate degree in liberal arts including an emphasis on Spanish.
