Women's Golf finishes in 9th at Wartburg Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Wartburg College Spring Invite on Sunday with a two round score of 697.

Results

The Blugolds had a strong day, cutting 11 strokes off Saturday's team score, which moved them up from 10th place. Carleton College took home the team title with a score of 635.

 Allison Chomniak (Jr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) was the top Blugold finisher, tying for 24th after shooting an 85 on Sunday to finish at 168.

Ashli Stolen (Jr. – Stoughton, WI) tied for 27th after shooting a 170. The junior shot Eau Claire's best score on Sunday, turning in an 81.

Jessica Rudnicki (Fr. - Sun Prairie, WI) also finished in the top 50 for the Blugolds after shooting a 91 (178) to place 47th.

Next up for Eau Claire is the Blugold Spring Classic, which will be held on Thursday at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club.
