MADISON,WIS.(Blugolds.com)-UW-Eau Claire men’s outdoor track athlete Kyler Lueck, Junior (Germantown, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) and women's outdoor track athlete Erica Oawster, Senior (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial), were both recognized as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, as announced by WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek earlier today.
Lueck won the 1,500-meter run at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational on April 6, in a time of 3:48.97. The performance ranks first in the NCAA Division III and WIAC.
Oawster won the discus at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational with a throw of 155-0 (47.25m). The performance ranks first in the NCAA Division III and the WIAC. She also finished first in the shot put with a throw of 47-5 3/4 (14.47m), which is first in the conference and second in the NCAA Division III.
