ELSAH, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's cross country team competed in the 2017 NCAA Cross Country National Championships Saturday, coming away with a national runner-up finish.

Results

The Blugolds' second place finish was led by Samantha Slattery (So. – Waunakee, WI/Waunakee) who was 17th overall with a time of 21:08.30. Melody Becker (Sr. – Osseo, WI/Homeschooled) followed in 26th place (21:23.30) while Callie Fischer (Sr. - Oneida, WI/Ashwaubenon) was 35th (21.33.50).
