Women’s Cross Country Finishes 17th at Nationals

MASON, Ohio (blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team took 17th at the NCAA Division III Nationals Championships on Saturday at the Golf Center at Kings Island.

The Blugolds tallied 481 points, with Lucy Ramquist (Jr.-River Falls, WI) finishing first for the Blugolds with a time of 22:46.1, placing 39th.

Clara Williamson (Jr.-Skokie, WI) crossed the finish line second for the Blugolds in 79th place, recording a time of 23:16.3.

 Melody Becker (So.-Osseo, WI) was 99th with a time of 23:29.2 while Kelsey Jaeger (So. Waukesha, WI) was 131st (23:44.0), Monica Emerson (Sr. Somerset, WI) was 133rd (23:45.8), Katryna Williams (Jr.-Watertown, WI) was 154th (23:56.9) and Sydney Pretasky (So.-La Crosse, WI) was 172nd (24:12.3).

Johns Hopkins took home the team championship with a score of 87 while MIT took second (112) and St. Lawrence was third (138).

Amy Reagan of Stevens Institute was the individual champion, finishing with a time of 20:51.9.
