Barrett named Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Player of the Week

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Arianna Barrett (So.-Lakeville, MN/North) received more recognition this week, this time at the national level as the sophomore was named Sports Imports/AVCA Division III Player of the Week.

Barrett, who also claimed Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week honors, played a key role in the Blugolds' 3-1 win over then-No. 1-ranked Chicago on Saturday. The win capped a 3-0 week for UW-Eau Claire and extended their winning streak to 10 matches.

For the week, Barrett tallied 45 kills while hitting an impressive .415 to average 4.5 kills per set. In addition, she recorded 30 digs to go along with 12 block assists.
