EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire volleyball team took the court on Saturday night as they looked to stay atop the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with a win against UW-Stevens Point. The BLugolds would earn win number 20 on the season and make it five-straight conference wins as they defended their home court winning three out of the four sets played.
Senior hitter Madelyn Pashibin (Minneapolis, MN/Southwest) took charge of the Blugold offensive as she recorded 15 total kills on the night and earned herself a .343 hitting average for the night.
Madison Surprise (Appleton, WI/Kimberly) would end the night with 45 assists. This is the seventh time Surprise has recorded 40+ assists in a match.
Taylor Scalia (So. – Lake Elmo, MN/Stillwater) led the Eau Claire defense with a match-high 21 digs while Krista Meyer (So. – Germantown, WI) had a game-high eight block assists.
Head Coach Kim Wudi receives her 20th win on the season and brings her career win total to 274.
