EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The conclusion to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire volleyball team's regular season took place Saturday afternoon against UW-Platteville.

On Senior Day, the Blugolds paid honor to Katrina Raskie (Weston, WI/D.C. Everest) and Keagan Kinsella (Chanhassen, MN). As they have throughout their Blugold career, the duo greatly contributed to Saturday's three-set win.

Kinsella had nine kills in the match, while Raskie's 14 put-aways led the team and were among three Blugold hitters to reach double digits. The others notching ten-plus kills were Heather Sawchuk (Jr.-Roseville, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) with 12 and Madelyn Pashibin (So.-Minneapolis, MN/Minneapolis Southwest) with ten.

UW-Eau Claire amassed impressive hitting percentages of .455 and .433 in sets one and two. They won the first in dominating fashion, taking it 25-13. A tight second set had Eau Claire and Platteville all square at 20 points, but the Blugolds won the race to five to win 25-23.

The final set was more similar to the opening one, as the blue and gold cruised to a 25-16 victory. In the match, Madison Surprise (So.-Appleton, WI/Kimberly) contributed 43 set assists, and Sawchuk, Talia Jaskulske (Jr.-Maplewood, MN/North St. Paul), and Kasey Schumacher (Jr.-Channahon, IL/Minooka Community) all shared the team-lead in digs with eight.

The Blugolds completed their regular season with an overall record of 23-9 and 4-3 in WIAC play. At the time of publication, match-ups for next week's conference tournament still need to be settled, but Eau Claire will be in action Tuesday night in the WIAC Quarterfinals.
