EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Head women’s volleyball Coach Kim Wudi and the UW-Eau Claire women’s volleyball team have released the Blugolds’ 2015-16 schedule.
The Blugolds will kick off the 2015-16 season at home on September 1 against Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and will open Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play on September 23 at La Crosse. Eau Claire’s WIAC home-opener will be a week later, hosting UW-River Falls on September 30.
“Our 2015 schedule features some of the best non-conference teams in the Midwest,” said Wudi. “The WIAC will be tough, as always, so it will help us to be battle-tested going into our conference match-ups. With 13 opponents who qualified for the national tournament last season, we need to be ready to bring it every match. We’re also very excited to have a few early home matches to get our students and community engaged in Blugold Volleyball.”
The Blugolds will also host the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament October 16-17 and have their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night on October 21.
