EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Several players from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball team have been given all-conference honors after the conclusion of their regular season.
Katrina Raskie (Jr.-Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) and Jenna Smits (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Preble) were named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference team. Raskie, an outside hitter, finished the season as the Blugolds overall kill leader with 289 total, averaging 2.58 per set, ranking 10th in the conference. Setter Jenna Smits averaged 10.54 assists per set, ranking third in the WIAC. Smits also tallied 39 aces throughout the season, fifth in the conference.
Kelly Riesgraf (Sr.-Chaska, Minn./Chaska), a middle hitter received honorable mention for the all-conferece squad, with a hitting percentage of .308, third overall in the WIAC. She came in 17th on the kills list, averaging 2.24 kills per set.
Talia Jaskulske (So.-Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) topped off the WIAC All-Defense team boasting 4.85 digs per set, the fourth most of liberos within the conference. Outside hitter Hannah Theisen (Sr.-Rochester, Minn./Mayo) was named to the all-sportsmanship team. Theisen was a top offensive threat for the Blugolds coming up with 2.55 kills per set, hitting .175 overall.
The Blugolds finished their season 26-9 and 4-3 in the WIAC, ranking 5th in the conference.
