PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball team (26-8, 4-3 WIAC) won their final game of the regular season in a sweep over the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (25-14, 25-12, 25-23).

 Box Score

The Blugolds jumped out to an early lead in the first set thanks to a strong offensive push led by Emily Miller (So.-Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake). She would finish the match with seven kills. Set two would end in a similar fashion as Eau Claire would hold the Platteville to 12 points, establishing a commanding lead moving into the third set.

The Pioneers wouldn't go away late in the match, however, jumping out to a 3-10 lead to start set three. Head coach Kim Wudi was able to turn the tides back for the Blugolds in dramatic fashion after calling a key timeout. Coming out of the huddle, the Blugolds put up nine straight points, gaining a 12-10 lead. Eau Claire maintained the lead for the remainder of the set to complete the 3-0 sweep, fittingly capped off with a kill from Katrina Raskie (Jr.-Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest).

Raskie recorded six kills in the match to complete her regular season as the top Blugold killer with 273 overall, averaging 2.63 per set. Keagan Kinsella (Jr.-Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen) led the team with 11 kills in the match.

With the regular season finished, the Blugolds will move into the WIAC Tournament and will host a first round match Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the McPhee Center.
