WHEATON, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – After winning both of their Friday night matches to open their tournament at Wheaton College, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball head coach Kim Wudi has reached 200 wins as a Blugold.

Match one against North Central College ended in four sets, with the Blugolds coming out on top (25-19, 26-24, 24-26, 26-24). The score stayed close for the duration of each set, with both the second and third sets carrying into tiebreak points. Eau Claire was lead by the usual duo of Katrina Raskie and Emily Miller in kills.

The Blugolds second match of the night was against the University of Dubuque, also won in four sets (23-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-21). After dropping set one, Eau Claire came roaring back with purpose, taking the next three sets home for the victory. It was again Raskie out in front for the high-flying Blugold offense, recording a team high 16 kills. Talia Jaskulske also stepped up in her usual defensive role with 12 digs.

Coming into the tournament, Wudi was focused on establishing a strong serve, which was very evident in their first game. Eau Claire put up 15 service aces against North Central, a key difference maker in a close game. After gaining the two victories tonight, Wudi improves to 200-104 as head coach.

The Blugolds will finish the tournament tomorrow with two final matches, starting with host Wheaton College at 9:30a.m., followed by Saint Mary's University at 2:30p.m.
