
DES MOINES, Iowa (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's 4 x 200-meter relay team earned a third place finish on day three of the Drake Relays hosted today at Drake Stadium.
The team of Kelsey Worachek (Fr.-Appleton, WI/Xavier), Brooke Patterson (Sr.-Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton), Lindsey Laufenberg (Sr.-Waunakee, WI) and Carly Fehler (Sr.-Oak Creek, WI) earned a third place finish in the college division with a time of 1:39.82.
The 4 x 400-meter relay unit of Jessie Reineck (Jr.-Greeville, WI/Fox Valley Lutheran), Sarah Glidden (So.-Greenville, WI/Hortonville), Steph Rouse (Sr.-Minnetonka, MN/Hopkins) and Jessica Rupnow (Jr.-Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) missed qualifying for the 4 x 400 finals by 0.63 seconds finishing 10th overall with a time of 3:48.23.
Finishing out the day was the 4 x 100-meter relay team of Worachek, Reineck, Laufenberg and Fehler who finished 21st overall posting a time of 49.14 seconds.
The Blugolds will compete in the St. Mary's (MN) Open tomorrow before competing at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 1-2 at UW-La Crosse.
