EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The qualifiers for the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship have been announced with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire track and field teams earning eight spots for the women and six for the men.

The championship will be held March 8-9 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Mass. University of Massachusetts-Boston will serve as host. Qualifying for the Blugolds were:
Lizzy Keena (So. - Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Lincoln) – 400m (seeded 20th)

Several Blugolds will be headed back to nationals for the second-straight indoor season, including Munn, Henk, Cooper, Kornack, Oawster, Christnovich, Treacy, Keena.
"I think anytime you have experience it helps," said Head Coach Chip Schneider. "But by no means does this determine the final outcome. We will still expect those who are making their first trip to the national meet to produce just as much as our veterans to the meet. I think those that have been there help most by showing the younger athletes the process, because nationals is a very different meet."
Last season both the men's and women's team finished fourth in the nation and collected 12 All-American honors on the men's side and seven on the women's.
"I expect our athletes to perform at their highest levels of the season," said Schneider. "I would expect either personal best or close to personal bests out of the majority of the group. We peak for this meet during our indoor season, so that is what we will go there looking to do. We will focus on our team and doing our very best. If we do that, I think we will be happy with the results."
