MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Katie Gillman (Sr.-Red Wing, Minn.) has been selected the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Year, based on a vote of the league coaches.

Gillman is the first player in program history to receive the honor after she finished second at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles at the WIAC championship.  She compiled a 13-3 overall record in singles competition this fall, including a 5-1 mark in conference duals and 9-1 record at No. 1 singles.  In doubles competition, she was 15-4, including 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Gillman also won the consolation doubles title at the 2013 United States Tennis Association/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships.
