Women’s Tennis Falls at UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team opened the 2014-15 season with a 7-2 defeat today at defending WIAC champion UW-Whitewater.

Results

The Blugolds won two singles matches on the day.  Colleen McCullough (Jr.-Maple Grove, Minn.) defeated Bridgid McGuire 6-2, 3-6 (10-7) at No. 2 singles while Sarah Henderson (Fr.-Prior Lake, Minn.) defeated Ashley Miller 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.

Tomorrow the Blugolds will compete at the UW-Whitewater Tournament.  Action is set to begin at 9:00 a.m.
