Despite the loss to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) rival, there was a lot of excitement as two pool records fell. Sophomore Samantha Senczyszyn set pool records in the 50-yard freestyle (23.61) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.82) and both times also met the NCAA B cut and hit last season's NCAA invited time.

The 200-yard medley relay of Jessica Short, Senczyszyn, Elissa Hermsen and Carli Olson was also victorious, recording a winning time of 1:50.09. Short also won the 200-yard IM (2:13.89) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.84) while Olson won the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.97).

Sari Mailey dominated the 1000-yard freestyle, winning with a time of 11:18.23, defeating the field by nearly 15 seconds.

Anna Theisen also turned in a winning performance, winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.49.

"This was a hard fought duel with one of our toughest rivals," said Head Coach Annie Ryder. "We swam as a team and the energy on deck made the meet really exciting. We swam fast and raced hard and I'm really excited about what they will do at the end of the season."

The Blugolds will be back in action Saturday, November 19th when they host UW-Oshkosh in the McPhee Center at 1 p.m.
