Senczyszyn takes 2nd in 200 breaststroke, Blugolds finish 11th overall

GREENSBORO, NC (blugolds.com) – University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Samantha Senczyszyn (Fr.-Grafton, WI) led the Blugolds in the final day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championships, taking second in the 200-yard breaststroke.

The second place finish secured another All-American honor for the freshmen, her fourth of the meet. Senczyszyn finished in 2:13.45, just behind Amherst's Emily Hyde who set a new meet record at 2:12.30. However, Senczyszyn still holds the NCAA Division III record time of 2:12.20, set on February 20.

Allie Hable (Sr.-Ankeny, IA) finished her career in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 53.02, placing 45th while Jessica Short (So.-Grafton, WI) finished 26th in the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:06.18.

The Blugold women finished in 11th place and will return home with eight All-American honors.
