Alex Card (So.-Prior Lake, Minn.) led the Blugolds as he finished as a first-team All-American, completing the 200-yard breaststroke in seventh place. He finished with a time of 2:03.66 in the finals but had a time of 2:02.95 in prelims, which set a school record. The old school record was 2:03.93, set by Wes Sinclair in 1990. The group of Grace Fair (Jr.-Monticello, Minn.), Kristin Peters (So.-Farmington, Minn.), Kirsten Lickel (Sr.-Madison, Wis./East) and Julia Olson (Sr.-Faribault, Minn.) finished in a time of 3:33.19.

Earlier in the day, Fair also competed in the 100-yard freestyle preliminaries and finished in 37th place with a time of 52.82 seconds.

As a team, the Blugold women tied for 28th place with 21 points while the men tied for 32nd place with 21 points. The men's finish is their best since the 2008-09 season when they also took 32nd.
