DECORAH, Iowa (Blugolds.com) - Hannah Schaetzel (Jr. – Germantown) scored the only goal of the game as the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team defeated Luther College 1-0 on Wednesday night.
Schaetzel's goal came in the 84th minute off a Krista Koenig (So. – Ringle/D.C. Everest) assist.
Luther out-shot Eau Claire 20-9 in the contest but the Blugold defense and goaltender Anna Sveiven (Jr.-Blaine, MN/Centennial) would stand strong to earn their sixth shutout of the season.
