Soccer comes up short against Eagles

LA CROSSE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team came up short on the road Saturday, falling UW-La Crosse, 5-0.

The Eagles tallied two goals in the first half and three in the second to remain undefeated in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play. La Crosse outshot the Blugolds 18-5 and held a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

Sammy Lefaive (Sr. – Coon Rapids, MN) took the loss in goal, recording four saves in the first half. Anna Sveiven (So. – Blaine, MN) also recorded three saves in the second half of the game.
