MENOMONIE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team closed out the regular season on Saturday, falling to UW-Stout 2-1.
It was a busy first period as all three goals were scored in the opening 25 minutes of play.
Mercedes Wilson (Fr.-Dousman, WI/Kettle Moraine) put the Blugolds on the board at 15:20, thanks to a nice pass through traffic from Danielle Jensen (Sr. – Mukwonago, WI).
The Blue Devils answered just three minutes later and took the lead at 24:49.
The Blugolds out-shot Stout 7-5 while Anna Sveiven (Fr.— Blaine, MN) took the loss in goal, recording one save.
Eau Claire wraps up the season at 5-11-1 and 2-5 in the WIAC.
