EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team hosted the College of Saint Benedict Saturday, falling by score of 3-2.

Saint Benedict came out firing early, scoring two goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the break.

UW-Eau Claire made it 2-1 with a goal in the 60^th minute as Mary Wilhemy (Fr. – Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) snuck a shot just under the cross bar to score her first goal as a Blugold.

However, in the 65^th minute, the Blazers scored again to increase their lead.

Lauren Lenz (Sr. – Saint Germain, WL/Northland Pines) added one final goal in the 73^rd minute but it would not be enough to give the Blugolds their first win of the season.

Saint Benedict outshot Eau Claire 16-12, including a 12-6 margin in shots on net.
