EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugold.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team ended the regular season with a 1-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-Stout in their annual "Battle of the Blues" on Saturday.

Caroline Henderson (Sr. – Duluth MN/East) scored the only goal of the game in the 79th minute off an assist from Bailee Hyde (Fr. – Medina, MN/Wayzata). The goal is Henderson's eighth of the season.
The Blugolds out-shot the Blue Devils 15-5 in the contest, including an 11-1 advantage in the second half.
Sammie Lefaive (Jr. – Coon Rapids, WI) earned her seventh win of the season, recording three saves in goal for Eau Claire.
With the victory, the Blugolds (7-8-2, 4-2-1 WIAC) earned the third seed in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) tournament (presented by Culver's) and will host sixth-seeded UW-River Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
