It took the Blugolds less than three minutes to find the back of the net as Caroline Henderson (Sr. – Duluth, MN/East), added to her goal tally with her sixth goal on the year thanks to a cross from the right sideline from Madeline Haworth (So. – Eagan, MN/Eastview).

At 10:24, it was the other senior who put the Blugolds up by two. Jocelyn Etten (Sr. – Elkhorn, MN/Elkhorn) received a pass from the left side with another assist from Haworth.

After one half of play, the Blugolds outshot the Pointers 5-2 with goalie Sammie Lefaive (Jr. – Coon Rapids, MN/Coon Rapids) stopping everything that came her way.

The second half brought out the best in both teams. It was a classic back and forth game of soccer with both teams getting chances and equaling in shots 3-3, but neither team could find the back of the net.

Lefaive finished the night off with stopping all 5 shots she faced.

The Blugolds (5-5-1 WIAC 2-0) are back in action Saturday, October 8 when they face off with the UW-Whitewater Warhawks at Bollinger Fields at 2 PM for Alumni Day/Playing for a Cause Day.
