WHEATON, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – After the first day of the Pete Willson Invitational, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team is in 26th place out of the 38 teams.

Eau Claire tallied 18.5 points while the University of Mount Union leads the field with 73 points.
Three Blugolds went 3-1 on the day and will need four wins on Saturday to take third in their respective brackets: Jake Drexler (Fr. – Stratford, WI) at 141, Toby Mosley (Sr. – Sparta, WI) at 174 and James Huntley (So. – Woodbury, MN/Stillwater) at 197.
