OSHKOSH, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team fell in the annual Chancellor's Cup with UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday night, 27-15.

Results

Newcomer Tanner Deist (Fr. – Wild Rose, WI) earned his second win in a row, defeating Joey Giurini 18-3 at 133 pounds.

Connor Hanson (Sr. – Harmony, MN/Fillmore Central) also remains undefeated with a 14-5 win over Oshkosh's Tony Kontney at 165.

Evan Lawrence (So. – Hugo, MN/Mahtomedi) tallied a pin at 174 pounds, taking down Husam Alabed at the 2:18 mark to improve to 3-2 on the season.

The Blugolds will return to the mat Saturday as they head to the Auggie Open and Concordia Open.
