EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team took on Luther College for the team's first home match of the season. On a night where they held Veteran Appreciation Night, the Blugolds would fall by a score of 30-7.
Notching a win for the Blugolds was Zackary Sirny (Jr.-Wild Rose, WI) as he defeated Cody Hanson by major decision 15-3.
Justin Karkula (Jr.- Oshkosh, WI/ West) also got a win defeating Conner Herman in extra time following a tiebreaker, with a 3-2 decision.
The Blugolds are back in action Saturday, December 5 as they travel to La Crosse for the Candlewood Suite Duals.
