NORTHFIELD, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team got their first win of the season, 33-19 over St. Olaf (Minn.) on Thursday night.
Zackary Sirny (Jr. - Wild Rose, WI) defeated Guillermo Gorrin by fall (0:46) in the 125 pound weight class while Ryan Behnke (Jr. - Bruce, WI) defeated Hugh Ellerman with an 8-4 decision in the 165 pound weight class. Also receiving a victory was Jeremy Amundson (Jr. - Osceola, WI) by fall (2:25) over Daniel Parmenter in the 184 pound weight class.
The Blugolds will be back in action Saturday, November 21 at the Brute/Adidas Augsburg Open in Minneapolis, Minn.
