HERSHEY, PA (Blugolds.com) – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has named UW-Eau Claire wrestler Mat Rieckhoff (Sr.-Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest) a 2014-15 Scholar All-American.

2015 NWCA Scholar All-Americans

Each year the National Wrestling Coaches Association recognizes the accomplishments of student-athletes for their outstanding performance in the classroom and on the wrestling mat.  Of the approximately 2,900 student-wrestlers that competed this season at the NCAA Division III level, only 159 earned this prestigious honor. 

Rieckhoff, an Elementary Education major, carries a 3.80 GPA. Wrestling at 184 pounds, the senior finished his career at the NCAA National Championships where he went 1-2 to finish the season with an 18-20 record.
