Turnbull & Wittig earn CCM/AHCA All-American honors

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-Americans have been announced for the 2018-19 season, with Blugolds Holly Turnbull (Sr. – Hayward, WI) and Courtney Wittig (Sr-Green Bay, WI/Bay Port) both earning First Team honors.

Turnbull and Wittig earned All-American status for the first time in their careers after leading the Blugolds to a program-record 21 wins in 2018-19. Eau Claire won their second-straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) tournament championship and earned their second-straight trip to the NCAA tournament.

Turnbull also earned First Team All-WIAC honors for the second time while Wittig was named WIAC Player of the Year after claiming first team honors for the third-straight season.

The CCM Hockey/AHCA All-American Hockey Teams are sponsored by CCM Hockey and chosen by members of the American Hockey Coaches Association.
