(Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey player Courtney Wittig (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) and women's basketball player Hallee Hoeppner (Winona, Minn) have each been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s hockey team traveled to St. Paul, MN on Monday night as they took on #6 Hamline University in their second meeting of the season against the Pipers. The #9 Blugolds fell in the first game back in October to Hamline but came into the game off two big home wins the weekend before and undefeated on the road. With a very physical game anticipated, the Blugolds could not hold on to their early lead and would skate to a tie with the Pipers.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – After defeating St. Norbert College 3-1 on Friday, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s hockey team recorded a dominating 7-0 win over the Green Knights Saturday afternoon to complete the sweep at Hobbs Ice Arena.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s hockey team were once again ranked #10 in both the D3hockey.com and USCHO.com polls this past Monday. The Blugolds looked to get back in the winner’s circle after suffering a loss at home against UW-River Falls last Saturday. The Blugolds hosted Saint Mary’s University Tuesday night before they enter Thanksgiving break. After 60 minutes of physical play, Eau Claire would get the 3-0 win.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugold.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s hockey team hosted another regional opponent from a year ago on Saturday. The Gutavus Adolphus Gusties came to town with both teams remembering the triple-overtime thriller last season in the NCAA Regional Tournament. With both teams playing to their own aggressive strengths and a five-minute overtime included, neither team would find the edge as the game would end in a 2-2 tie.

These athletes include women's volleyball player Madelyn Pashibin, women's hockey player Holly Turnbull, diver Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Fridley, Min.), and women's swimmer Sam Senczyszyn, Senior (Grafton, Wis.)

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The No. 9 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s hockey team held their home opener on Saturday as they took on the No. 4 Hamline Pipers, a rematch of last season’s NCAA Second Round game. Before puck drop, the Blugolds unveiled their 2018 WIAC (Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Championship banner, their first in program history. The Blugolds looked to continue their success from last season in their first game but fell short to the Pipers, 5-4.
