FOND DU LAC, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey continued their weekend road trip in eastern Wisconsin as they took on Marian University. The Blugolds' dominate play in the first would be enough to give them the 1-0 win.

Box Score

Things started on a much better note on Saturday as Eau Claire wasted no time to strike first. Holly Turnbull (Jr.-Hayward, WI) would score the lone goal on the power-play. This would tally as Turnbull's sixth goal of the year, but just the sixth power-play goal for the Blugolds all year.

Eau Claire's offense didn't just stop there as they would conclude the game with 36 shots compared to Marian's 16. This is the seventh game the Blugolds would get 30+ shots on goal.

Erin Connolly (So. – Mequon, WI/Homestead) would get her fifth win of the season improving her record to 5-2-2.

The Blugolds (6-3-2) will play one more next Friday against St. Catherine (Minn.) before winter break. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM. Catch all the action live at Blugolds.com/gameday.
