It didn't take long for the home team to open up their scoring as the Blugold's top returning scorer, Courtney Wittig (Jr.-Green Bay/Bay Port) scored her first of the season. She would bury home a loose puck in front of the net to net Eau Claire's fourth power-play goal of the season.

With just under five minutes left in the period, Blugold rookie Hanna Zavoral (Fr.-St. Paul, MN/Highland Park) would also bury a loose puck in front of the net to extend the lead to 2-0. Elizabeth Bauer (So.-Wausau, WI/East) would get credit with an assist on both goals. Bauer, who lead the Blugolds in assists last year, now leads Eau Claire in points with four total.

The Blugolds would add an empty net goal by Abby Roeser (Cottage Grove, MN/East Ridge), and they would end the game with 35 shots and 46 percent in the face-off circle.

Erin Connolly (Mequon, WI/Homestead) was credited with her first win on the season as she starts the season 1-0-0.

The Blugolds will head on the road on Saturday November 4th as they look to continue their win streak as they take on Gustavus Adolphus (MN). Follow all the action at blugolds.com/gameday.
