NORTHFIELD, Minn. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey team earned another road victory Wednesday night, defeating St. Olaf 2-0.
Courtney Baugher (So. – Crystal Lake, MN/Chisago Lakes) scored the first Blugold goal at the 15:49 mark of the first period off an assist from Claudia Gagnon (Sr. – Duluth, MN/East).
Eau Claire would add another score at 11:11 in the second period when Sami Meister (Fr. – Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) found the back of the net for an unassisted goal.
The Blugolds out-shot the Oles 28-14 while Anna Veazey (Fr. – Rapid City, SD/Dakota Ridge) earned the win in goal with 14 saves.
The Blugolds (4-2) will be back in action on Friday, November 18 when they host UW-Superior. The puck will drop at 7 p.m. at Hobbs Ice Arena.
