Women's Hockey Comes Up Short Against Hamline

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire fell 2-1 against Hamline University on Tuesday night at Hobbs Ice Arena.

The first goal of the night was made on a power-play by Hamline's Chelsea Koehn, who found the back of the net at 14:35 into the first period.

Hamline was on fire at the start of the second period, but Eau Claire came back into the game as Holly Turnbull (Fr.-Hayward, WI) sunk the puck into the net at 16:57 to tie up the score.  

Both teams started the third period off with aggressive offense, but Hamline was next to find the back of the net, breaking the tie and bringing the score to a final 2-1.

Paige Turner (Sr.-Iron River, WI/Duluth East) took her spot as goaltender for the Blugolds tonight and had a total of 16 saves.

UW- Eau Claire (3-4-2, 1-3-1) has their next conference game on Friday, December 4th against UW- Stevens Point (5-2-1, 1-2-1) at Hobbs Ice Arena.
