Two Blugold Women's Hockey Players Recognized by WIAC

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Two UW-Eau Claire women's hockey players have been honored by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with the announcement of the All-WIAC team today.

Honorably mentioned on the All-WIAC team was goalie Paige Turner (So.-Iron River, Wis./Duluth East). This season, Turner led the WIAC in saves with 734, an average of 33.36 per contest. She played 1,210 minutes and finished with a .901 save percentage and a 4.02 goals-against-average.

Nikki Kothenbeutel (Sr.-Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) was also selected as the WIAC's Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete and was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team, which was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.  It included one member from each school.
